Custom Cake Information
What we need to know when ordering a custom cake
• What cake flavor and filling would you like?
This is listed below. We offer vegan/dairy free options for an additional charge.
• What size cake would you like?
This is listed below as well as pricing. You’ll see starting prices for sizing depending on if the cake is buttercream or fondant. We only provide 6” and 8” for our vegan/dairy free cakes (contains coconut milk).
• How would you like the cake decorated?
You can start by providing a general theme or idea for your cake, then move on to details like colors or writing. This is the time to provide pictures and other references as well. However, do not expect the pastry chef to copy a creation from another person, as copying will not give you a unique, high-quality product. We do not have any figurines, toys, toppers or candy generally on hand at the bakery, but if you drop them off, we are happy to incorporate them into the design. We also do not have an arrangement with a florist but if you would like flowers on your cake, feel free to bring them in and we’ll place them on the cake for you. We also do not offer edible images.
Remember, your custom cake will be designed specifically for you, so you may not get a final price until you give us all of the information mentioned above. Many things will affect the total cost of your cake, including size, garnishes, design style, etc. Create a list before visiting us so we can give you an idea of what you might pay.
We need at least 10-14 days notice for custom cakes. The more notice, the better as we can get booked up fast for cakes. Custom cakes, even small ones, take time and care to create. If you call us a few days before your event, you will not be able to get a custom cake, but possibly a standard cake (listed above). If you plan on ordering a custom cake around a holiday, be sure to give us extra notice.
Custom cake orders need to be placed IN PERSON or by PHONE. We do not accept requests over email or social media, unless you’re just sending us inspiration pictures for the cake(s) or asking a question.
